
Professor YUNG Shu-Hang Patrick is recognised globally as a leader in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He serves as the leader of a lot of international & local centres of sports medicine & health science. And leading his research team devoted to making advances in sports medicine and arthroscopy surgery.
He also is an outstanding researcher and educator, and has published over 180 scientific papers in international journals, contributing significantly to the establishment of Hong Kong’s leading position in sports medicine. As the head of the first ever Master Course in Sports Medicine & Health Science in Hong Kong & Asia - he has helped train over 1000 medical professionals in the field of sports medicine since 2005.
In recognition of his local and international and contributions in the advancement of Sports Medicine & Health Science, he has been awarded the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong” in 2009, the “FIMS Fellows” in 2011, the “Award of Secretary for Home Affairs’ Commendation Scheme” of the Government of HKSAR in 2015. He also received the prestigious “Chinese Sports Medicine Magnolia Award” in 2017, the highest “Takagi & Watanabe Award” of Asia Pacific Knee Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Society in 2018 as well as the “Golden Cradle Award” of the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association in 2018 and the “Hong Kong Health Award” in 2018. He was made “Justice of the Peace” and the “Medal of Honour” by the Government of Hong Kong SAR in 2018 and 2021 respectively.

Mr. Patrick Chan Ka Chun has many years experiences in metal and manufacturing industry. He is the expertise in organizing projects involving innovative technology applications.

Dr. Chui Chun-Sing focuses on computer-assisted surgical planning and the development of innovative technologies in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He has authored 25 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has been involved in securing 12 competitive research grants and 3 research contracts, often as a co-investigator. Dr. Chui also serves as an Honorary Advisor to the Hospital Authority, where he educates and trains the 3D printing team and surgeons in 3D surgical planning, patient-specific instrument design, and 3D printing operations.
Specializing in research translation, Dr. Chui holds 11 international and local patents related to robotics systems, prostheses, and innovative treatment methodologies. Over the past two years, he has been recognized with 6 medals, primarily from the Geneva Invention Exhibition, including 1 special gold medal and 3 gold medals, highlighting his significant contributions to the field.
